Having a private office or reserving one of our shared meeting spaces gives you access to an abundance of fabulous restaurants in the downtown Chattanooga area! We’ve compiled a list of our 10 favorite downtown Chattanooga restaurants (and why) below:
1. The Walden Club
Located on the 21st floor of the Republic Centre building, The Walden Club offers stunning views, elegant dining and exclusivity for guests with a member’s only policy. One side of the restaurant overlooks Lookout mountain, while the other overlooks the Tennessee River and the prestigious river front area. The whole city is the backdrop for your dining experience. The club also has fantastic, daily, fresh dinner specials and cocktails. It’s a high-end Cheers experience. In fine dining, experience table side preparation for Caesar salad, steak Diane, finished with cherries jubilee, found nowhere else in Chattanooga. Just press up from here.
2. Hennen’s
Hennen’s is right across the street from the Tennessee Aquarium right on the river. This restaurant is geared for an adult romantic evening. They are host to 100 fine wine options. Plan to take your time for choosing a side dish when an option for Truffle Asparagus Risotto is available. After a delicious Certified Angus beef steak dinner, plan a leisurely walk along the river. For being right in the heart of all the riverfront action, there is lots of convenient paid parking. Enjoy your dinner.
3. Lupi’s Pizza Pies
Lupi’s Pizza is a very “lupi” place. Their pizzas are all fresh and made to order. The dough is handmade every morning, as well as their pizza sauce and salads. The atmosphere is fun with paper mache trees strung with lights and funky colors and artwork to please the eye. Courtney’s favorite is the bruschetta or a slice with a salad—be sure to try their homemade salad dressings, especially the Sundried Honey French!
4. Conga Chatt
Our team here at The Concierge Office Suites LOVE this Main Street place! There are unique, flavor-full dishes at this yummy #Chattanoogafoodie discovery. Plan to have your mind blown with this unique eatery. You must try their Pupusas, Tostones Barbacoa, or Salvadorean. The portions are generous. Make sure to try every sauce with your dish. Bring your family to this relaxed dining establishment.
5. Taziki’s Mediterranean Café
Taziki’s is an authentic Mediterranean café located on the busy and bustling 4th & Market intersection of Chattanooga. This cafe offers oodles of authentic cuisine ranging from dolmades, hummus, pasta salad, Greek salad, cucumber salad, a spicy pimento cheese sandwich, veggie pitas, gyros, fish sandwiches, as well as salmon dishes. They offer a daily special that usually has our mouths watering. This place has seriously delicious food.
6. Puckett’s
Puckett’s is located adjacent to the Aquarium right by the river front. Their meat is slow cooked, and their sliders and catfish are great. They have large portion sizes and the breakfast buffet during the weekends is to die for. They even have healthy options—what more could you ask for?! This is Toni’s favorite place to eat downtown!
7. Easy Bistro
Easy Bistro was located near the Aquarium. They have moved to West Village Chattanooga, right in the heart of the central business district. They are just a block from The Concierge Office Suites, too! The restaurant has a modern, unique look with a contemporary bistro atmosphere. They now have sidewalk cafe seating. They’re known for their delicious seafood selections. They also offer infusions for tasty cocktails. They are not open for lunch, but plan to enjoy a happy hour and add dinner! Better yet plan to chillax for dinner on the weekend.
8. The Boathouse Rotisserie & Raw Bar
The Boathouse is a very casual, comfortable spot right on the river. Just a mile or so from downtown, this place is worth the short drive. This restaurant is known for fresh, seasonal oysters, as well as rotisserie style chicken. Denise says their guacamole is fabulous! They also offer 16 different wines on tap that you can try before you decide on a glass. You cannot miss out on this place!
9. Taco Mamacita
Taco Mamacita is probably the best Tex Mex around. With a la carte taco options to enchilada suizas, to roasted chicken, there are options for everyone’s appetite. They’re known for their guacamole, their fresh made margaritas and mojitos (they also offer seasonal mojitos), and their nachos. Courtney’s favorite is the Vegetarian Jerk taco, which has fried plantains, spicy Caribbean jerk sauce, peach aioli, and mango salsa. Denise’s favorite is the fish taco, which has panko-crusted tilapia, Naba cabbage, authentic Mexican white sauce, pico de gallo, sliced radishes and cilantro. They also have shrimp tacos and carnitas tacos as well as a number of tasty side options. This place is a must for anyone who loves food!
10. Ankar’s Downtown
Also an authentic Mediterranean restaurant, Ankar’s is a family owned business and has been feeding Chattanooga for eons. Their falafel is the best we’ve ever had, and the steak in a sack and chicken salad riders are also amazing. If you enjoy a sandwich in a pita or are craving a big ole sub, don’t pass this little guy by. And don’t forget to order their homemade onion rings!
